A Recycled Bird Feeder
A recycle bird feeder made out of a milk jug. I made it because some people like to watch birds and this is a great way to get there attention.
Supplies
- A 1 gallon milk jug
- Bird seed ( I bought a 40 lb bag classic mix the brand is Royal Wing from tractor supply for $19.99 )
- String
- a straw
- A box knife
- Scissors
- And something to scoop out the bird seed ( you can use your hands if you like but the scoop only cost 98 cents at Walmart)
Cutting It
Cut the milk jug like the picture above
Smoothing the Cut
Using the scissors cut out any sharp parts
Cutting of the Straw
Using the box knife cut out the hole for the straw to go in this will be used for birds to sit on after that put the straw through the hole.
Cutting for the String
Put one hole on the top left and another hole on the top left this will be used for the string to go through . After that put the string through the holes and tie a knot.
Putting the Seed In
Using the to scoop to get the bird seed out. And then pour it into the milk jug
Finish
Hang it up outside somewhere it we'll take at least 2 days for the birds to come ( the birds really like the seed there are at least 15 small birds a do not think they are chickadees and they come every morning to eat).
Congratulations
Now you have a recycled Bird feeder.
