I made an adjustable mini table/bowl holder, that attaches onto the side of a table in order for kids with disabilities at my school to access and use the kitchen, which only has one tall table.

Supplies

  1. 12'x12'x1/2' of HDPE
  2. hot glue gun
  3. hot glue
  4. Suptek Single Laptop Notebook Desk Mount with Tray for 13-27 inch Computer Screen, Fully Adjustable Laptop Desk Arm for Notebook up to 17’’, Weight up to 15.6 lbs (found on amazon.com)
  5. Access to a drill bit CNC machine

Construct the stand and with the instructions provided screwing on your HDPE attachment instead of the metal laptop holder.

Finishing Touches

Adjust the screws on the slider so that the arm and the HDPE tray can come off and on the pole, as well as keeping it tight around the pole so it does not slip off. When you are happy with the tightness of the ring, use your hot glue gun to freeze the screws in place so they do not loosen. (You can also freeze the screws on the bottom of the tray if those start to loosen as well.)
