As i do, some of you own a double action airbrush with side-mounted cup. So, you know the difficulty of holding it in a stand between painting works.

I decided to create one with three 3D printed items, and some stuffs i found in my drawers, ... use your imagination to create yours ;)

Supplies

you'll need :

  1. 3D printed pieces
  2. a tin can, ... the one i used was filled with corn, ... :) it's not important :) but pay attention to the outer diameter, ... it will establish the "botom cover" size.
  3. 2 M4 x 10mm screws
  4. epoxy glue
  5. super glue
  6. (optional) a round-shaped piece of metal sheet i owned to strenghten the tin can deck. It's glued with epoxy
  7. some sand to make it heavier.

The 3D Printed Pieces

About the 3d pieces :

i decided to split the holder in two to allow "airbrush holder" to be printed with less supports. It's laying on his back on the heating bed.

"stop wall" is a tiny little piece printed in a few minutes, the two studs allow to fit in place directly and glued with some super glue.

"botom cover" is a piece that'll close the tin can after having fill it with sand to make it heavier.

i used my Bambu Lab A1 with the following settings :

layer 0.20mm

fill of 30 to 40%

supports ON

PLA+ filament
