This is an advanced revision from my original project, designed to fit more eloquently in the tin with notches for the lip. Additionally I created a version that splits it into six compartments as well.

In the attached .SVG file, I am including both my original simple design, and the updated designs.

Supplies

  1. Attached .SVG file containing vectors for both 3mm and 1.5mm (1.5mm only for simple design) board designs created with Inkscape
  2. Laser Engraver/Cutter (I used 10w Falcon A1, Power=90%, Speed 350mm/m; but should work with any)
  3. 3mm or 1.5mm Basswood (or similar); I only included a 3mm design for the updated four compartments and six compartment versions
  4. Standard Altoids-style/size tin

  1. Using a laser cutter, cut out one of the designs contained in the .SVG file depending on your board thickness
  2. Slide together perpendicular
  3. Insert into tin can (should be a tight fit; may have to slightly flex the tin walls)
