Another Flower 🌺 With UV Resine
Who doesn't love flowers?
There's nothing better for showcasing them without losing their natural beauty than preserving them in resin for eternal life.
I chose to use natural flowers like Primroses and Potentillas to combine and transform them into another flower: the Frangipani.
Nothing beats UV resin for capturing the delicate beauty of these flowers. Here I'll show you the method and materials I used to create these floral earrings.

Create the Base Resin
Choose a flower-shaped silicone mold.
The shapes must be perforated.
Mix a small amount of UV resin with pink mica powder and a little pink glitter.
Pour the resin into the mold.
Polymerization
Heat the resin with a lighter to eliminate bubbles. Then, polymerize the resin under a UV lamp for 120 seconds.
Primrose Flowers
The primroses were previously gathered from the surrounding countryside, then dried and pressed.
Choose two flowers of the same diameter as the shape of the flowers in the mold.
Then place a drop of resin in the center to fix them.
Potentilla
The Potentillas were gathered in the mountains during hikes. The process is the same as with the Primroses.
Place a Potentillas in the center of each Primrose using tweezers. The flowers are very fragile.
Place a drop of resin in the center to secure them. Polymerize.
Bring Out the Color
In a small container, mix a small amount of resin with the yellow mica powder.
Drop a few small amounts of this mixture onto each Primrose petal. Polymerize.
Beautify the Flowers
Add small pieces of gold leaf to the center of the Potentilla flowers.
Accentuate the Color
Fill the empty areas with the same pink resin mixture used at the very beginning. Polymerize.
The Hook
Mix the pink mica powder with the pink glitter and the resin. Pour into another silicone mold. Heat with a lighter. Polymerize.
Revelation
Remove the flowers from the mold. To obtain a smooth surface, apply a final layer of clear resin over the flowers. Heat with a lighter. Then polymerize.
Assembling the Parts
Assemble the steel findings. Use two connecting rings with pliers. Then place a drop of resin under each clasp and polymerize to fix them.
The Illusion
This is how natural Primrose and Potentilla flowers give the illusion of real Frangipannier flowers thanks to the UV resin technique.
