Light weight 'halinox style' camping chairs are great, except on soft ground, where they will sink in and make you off balance. These feet will make that less likely. They are light weight, don't take up much space and inexpensive to make.

Supplies

8 beer cans

Hallinox styled chair

Tools:

Knife

Scissors

Hot glue gun

Sandpaper

iii) Sand them so the glue will stick better.
iv) Glue in pairs, one on top of the other, so you have 4.

Glue the feet you have made to the bottom of the chair's legs. Use a hot glue gun and be generous with the glue.

Enjoy sitting in your camping chair without that sinking feeling!

Tennis Ball Method

Another way to stop the legs from sinking into the soft ground is to use tennis balls. Problem is the legs may go through the balls. so, a hole was drilled into 4 mini tennis balls and then using a funnel made from aluminum sheeting created from an empty beer can and inserted into a plastic bag (like used for cake icing) cement was piped into each ball and then attached to the end of the legs of the camping chair.

Hopes were high, but when tried out on a camping trip, after a while some of the legs worked their way through the balls, requiring the tried and trusted method of placing the leg ends onto empty squished beer cans to be redeployed.
