Vertical Bicycle Wall Mount
Storing cycles in the garage or a room can become a hassle, especially if there are multiple of these two wheeled machines. A better solution to this storage issue is a vertical mount that get drilled into the wall, lacking the front wheel which a pin. This device features large amounts of adjustability for different rim sizes.
Supplies
3D Printer, Filament in color of choice, Access to a computer w/Fusion
Create + Extrude Base
Create a sketch and on that sketch, draw a 120 mm x 136 mm base. Extrude to 10 mm afterwards.
Create the 2 Side Pillars
Then, create a sketch on top of the new base. Then draw two rectangles on that base. Immediately after that, extrude those wo rectangles to a height of 110 mm. The total height would now be 120 mm.
Make the Holes
The next step involves creating a sketch on the side of the two newly formed pillars. This is so that three 20 mm circles can be created. The circles should be spaced 25 mm apart, measured from center to center. Also center the circles on the pillar. Next, extrude the circles, so that they cut through both pillars, which would be a total width of 120 mm.
Create the Pin
Now, right next to the main wall mount, create a sketch (on the front plane or any plane for that matter) so that a circle with a diameter of 17.5 mm can be drawn. This will become the pin that goes through the holes, which would allow for the bikes to be held vertically. Then, simply extrude the circle to 180 mm.
Fillet (rounding the Edges)
Next, purely for looks and feel, a 2 mm fillet can be added to the edges of the pin. A 25 mm fillet can be added to the tops of the two pillars on the main holder body. There should also be a 2mm fillet added with all of the components selected just to round off the edges.
Wall Mounting Holes
To be able to mount the device to the wall, 3 circles are added on the plane on the (new) base of the main body. The circles are 4mm in diameter and they are spaced 34 mm apart. They should also be centered. Then just extrude those circles 10 mm down to go through the base.
Print and Use
The vertical bicycle wall mount is complete. Export as an STL file to Fusion and print from there (but make sure the dimensions are good). Once the print is complete, you can start using it :)
