Step by Step Block Code Guide

Step 1: Start the Program

  1. Select the Events category.
  2. Drag when green flag clicked into the scripting area.

Step 2: Set the Starting Position

  1. Go to Motion.
  2. Add go to x: 185 y: -120 below the green flag block.
  3. This places the sprite at the required starting position.

Step 3: Create a Continuous Loop

  1. From Control, add forever below the position block.
  2. All the following blocks will be placed inside this loop.

Step 4: Detect the Target Color

  1. From Control, add an if then block inside the forever loop.
  2. From Sensing, select touching color [ ] ?.
  3. Set the color to the target color shown in your project.

Step 5: Add sound

  1. From Looks, add set size to 50 %.

Step 6: Add a Short Delay

  1. From Control, add wait 0.2 seconds.

Step 7: Shrink the Sprite

  1. From Looks, add change size by -50.

Step 8: Add Another Delay

  1. Add another wait 0.2 seconds block.
