Chocolate Chip Cookies
Wash your hands and clear off the table/counter space for making the cookie dough, then preheat the oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit.
Supplies
The Ingredients you need are flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, vanilla extract,1 egg, butter, and chocolate chips, which are optional. Gather all of them and a bowl, and place them in one spot.
Adding Ingredients
1 cup of flour; use a knife to scrape off excess flour, then add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda and mix into a big bowl
Adding Ingredients
Add sugar and brown sugar to the mix, ½ cup each.
Adding Ingredients
Soften ½ cup of butter in the microwave, add that, the egg, and ¾ teaspoon of vanilla extract, and mix everything.
Combining Everything
Mix the dough until combined, then, if you want, fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips.
Putting in the Oven
Put parchment paper on a baking sheet, then place approximately 9 cookies 2 inches apart. Place in the oven when it reaches 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Finishing Up and Enjoy
Set the timer for 10 mins, check the cookies throughout the process of baking. When crispy brown edges form but the middle is still soft and chewy, place on a drying rack for 2-3 minutes, then enjoy with a cold glass of milk.
