Colourful Folded Paper Display
Folding patterned paper into different shapes using Origami Papers
I created it to explore how flat paper can be folded into raised 3D shapes and combined with drawing to make a colourful display.
Supplies
Cardboard, Origami Papers, Glue and tape
Prepare the Base
Cut a piece of cardboard to use as the base of the artwork.
Cut the Coloured Paper
Cut the patterned paper into different rectangles and simple shapes.
Fold the Paper Shapes
Fold each piece of paper to create 3D shapes.
Draw the Character
Draw a character or picture on the yellow paper and cut it out.
Arrange and Attach
Arrange all the folded shapes and the drawing on the cardboard. Glue or tape everything securely in place.
