Cottage Cheese Smoothie
If you're craving a sweet, filling snack that comes together in under 5 minutes, this high-protein cottage cheese smoothie is the ultimate low-effort snack. Swapping traditional yogurt or milk for cottage cheese drastically improves the protein content while delivering a rich, surprisingly creamy texture that keeps you full.
Supplies
Cottage cheese
- For the base of the smoothie, it gives it a fluffier consistency.
- Yogurt can be used as a substitute.
Fruit
- Any fresh or frozen fruit can be used.
- Frozen fruit makes the smoothie colder.
Honey
- Optional, but adds sweetness to the smoothie.
Add Ingredients
Add cottage cheese (or yoghurt) and your fruit. You want it about 1/2 filled with cottage cheese and 1/2 filled with fruit. For additional sweetness, add honey.
For weaker blenders, make sure to defrost your fruit a tiny bit. You can defrost in the microwave if under a time crunch, using the defrost setting.
Blend
Blend up your ingredients. Blend until fully combined and a uniform color. The mixture should have a fluffy texture that somewhat holds its shape.
Serve
Pour the contents of your blender into a glass and serve.
