Our team has designed a set of attachments for PlayStation Access controller so it can be used only with chin: ideal for players with limited hand and/or arm mobility. The controller is secured to a custom mount, which is attached to a self-made laser cut vest for stability. You can remove and replace the current buttons with 3D-printed buttons that which are higher so the user can click other buttons.

Everything is printed out of PLA except buttons, which should be printed in ABS.

Preparing the Vest

You need to laser cut the vest preferably out of 3mm PMMA Plastic Sheet . Afterwards you can cut pieces out of foam and glue it on one side for padding. You can laser cut a thin piece of cloth and glue in front for aesthetic. You have to make sure the holes are not covered and "chest piece holder" pieces can fit without issue.

Putting on the Straps

Attach the straps to the cuts on the self-made vest to get them to loop in a way so that they can be tightened and attached together at your back or sides.

Assembling the Chest Piece Holder

Glue the printed "chest piece holder" piece to the hole on one of the holes on the self-made vest.

Put the chest piece and the controller base as shown in the images. Then bolt and tighten them together using the M6 hex bolt, the 6mm washer and the 6mm wingnut.

Attaching the Vest and the Controller Together

Slide the bottom stick side of the base you just assembled into the chest piece holder.

Attaching the Buttons

Simply remove some of the current buttons and replace them with the printed ones. To minimize the amount of wear down, hold the buttons down to the controller.

Final

Once you've done all the steps, the controller is ready to be used.
