D4E1 Joycon Controller Case With Adjustable Handles
A full (nintendo switch) controller case with adjustable handles that makes it easier for children to hold and adjust to their needs.
Supplies
All you need is a 3D printer and (PLA) filament.
The remaining part can be purchased at your local hardware store.
- 2x M6×15 screws (any M6 screw can be used, but thumb screws are preferred)
Importing Files
Import the print files into your slicer and put them on the build plate. They all fit onto a Bambulab Textured PEI buildplate, orient the model as shown (if you want certain parts in a different color, place them on a separate plate in the silcer, unless u have a multicolor printer).
Print Settings
Configure the print settings as shown in the images:
- Enable tree supports
- Use 3 wall loops
- Set the infill to 75%
- Select the Gyroid infill pattern
- 0.08mm or 0.16mm suggested layer height
Assembly
All that's left is the assembly. Remove the supports carefully, using a tool if necessary. You can also sand the parts to achieve a smoother finish.
Hand-tighten the screws to attach both handles to the bottom case, then press the buttons into the top case. Your case is now ready to use!
Place the switch controller inside the case and slide the bottom section onto the top section. To adjust the handle position to your preference, simply loosen the thumb screws, reposition the handles, and tighten them again. The snap-fit mechanism keeps the bottom case securely in place. To remove it, press the snap-fit tab and slide the bottom case off.
