DIY Pressurized Rocket 🚀

I made a DIY super easy homemade rocket.I wanted to create a rocket but all I could think of was rockets with real jet engines and other hard expensive stuff to make, until I found this idea, it’s super easy to make and all you need is a few things you’ll find around the house.

Here are the supplies you’ll need, A bike pump( big or small as long as it has a needle and it’s a hand pump), a 2 Liter bottle(empty), a cork, make sure it fits snugly in the bottle, screw driver, small twist drill bit and a big one, a small pice of wood, 2 tall pieces of pvc pipe for a stand, and a saw. Also if you want, a Bench top drill press(for the rocket stand)

Put the drill next to the cork and mark the end of the drill on the cork so you know where to cut it. Cut the cork on the mark, DON’T CUT YOURSELF!! Make sure the drill bit is at the end of the cork, if it’s not cut the cork a little shorter.

Drill through the cork make sure you drill through a few more time to get all the excess cork from the inside. Make sure the bike pump needle fits through the hole in the cork and pump some air through it to make sure that it is working.

Put the bottle on the wood and trace a circle around the top of the bottle onto the wood. Use the bench top drill press or the big twist drill bit to make the hole.(it’s easier to use the bench drill press but the twist drill bit works to. When your finished make sure the stand fits on the top of the rocket.

Fill the bottle 1/6th of the way full, put the cork in the bottle make sure it’s about half way in. Put the board on the bottle then put the bike pump into the cork.

Tilt the rocket upside down and put the rocket on the PVC pipes,and make sure the cork doesn’t fall out. Stand back and start pumping after a few pumps the rocket should BLAST OFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!
