DIY Soda Can Ice Cooler for Football Season Kickoff

Need a way to get a football party ready and want to make it by being crafty? Well then… you’ve come to the right place! So grab your soda can and let’s get to crafting!

Supplies

  1. (Important) SUPERVISION!!
  2. pocket knife
  3. empty soda can (I’m using the football Dr. Pepper can)
  4. string
  5. ice

Make Three Cuts

Make a cut with the knife up to down once and two cuts, one on the top side, and one on the bottom side, making sure to connect with the first cut… BUT BE SUPER CAREFUL!!!

Open and Wash

Yea… I forgot to wash the soda can out before I cut it…

Make Two Holes for the String

The first hole with be on the bottom of the flap (the side where it’s closer to the first cut) and another hole next to the first cut you made in the can but not on the opening and closing flap and make sure it’s aligned with the first hole you poked in.

Add the Ice

Do this before the ice melts!!

Loop & Lock With the String

Just do a simple double knot.

Put It in the Freezer Until Its Ready to Be Used
