Decide on Your Finished Hair Length
Imagine and visualise where you want the doll's hair to fall (e.g., shoulder length, hip length, or dramatic floor length.
Measure you doll standing upright - so you know exactly the length from the crown to the end of the hair - this is the length of your style BUT not the length locks you need
When you are creating your doll hair, remember that you will loose some of the length due to the preparation.
Depending on your method, as locks are hemmed in a weft during installation/ ends are needle felted into your doll head or made into wigs, and some people also like to ensure all the tips are trimmed straight, purchase locks that are at least 2–5 cm longer than your target style
Measure Your Doll's Head Circumference
Wrap a flexible measuring tape around the widest part of your doll’s head (right across the forehead and around the back of the skull).
