Easy Cement Photo Holder

I made this simple photo stand using a small cardboard box, cement, and paint. It is an easy project and doesn't require a complicated mould.

1. Small cardboard box
2. Cement
3. Fine sand
4. Water
5. Paint
6. Paintbrush
7. A small piece of cardboard or another object to create the slot

I used a small cardboard box as the mould. ( You can use any size and shape box )

I measured and marked two lines about 1.5 inches apart so two mould can be made from a single box.

Make sure the box is closed properly so the cement mixture does not leak out.

I used white cement then add water and mix until you get a thick, workable consistency.

Don't make the mixture too watery.

Pour the cement mixture into the cardboard box. Tap the sides of the box gently to help the mixture settle and release some trapped air. Make a cut after harden a little in the centre to create a slot for holding the photo.

Peel the cardboard away from the cement block. You should now have a small cement stand with a narrow slot in the middle for inserting a photograph.

Clean away any loose cement pieces and smooth the edges if necessary. Finally, paint the stand in any colour you like. I made mine in pink and blue.

That's it! A simple cardboard mould can be turned into a small, sturdy cement photo stand with just a little cement and paint. It can be customized in different shapes, sizes, and colours.
