Easy Jet From IrrelEvant Paper Planes: Vanguard
And I thought cool looking jets couldn’t get any easier! Let’s get into folding Vanguard!
Supplies
- 8.5”x11” paper or A4 paper
- two hands
Fold in Half
It’s gonna be hotdog style.
Fold Down Lengthwise 3.75” and Fold Back in Half
If you have A4 paper then this step is not necessary.
Fold Down at an Angle
Fold down to where it catches wa the bottom corner (where the 3.75” flap is) and at the opposite top corner, you wanna add a 1cm excess lip. Do that on both sides.
Fold Down Twice
I marked where to fold in the first image, but on the next image it shows to fold from the very front top of the plane and to the back top of the plane. Do this on both sides.
Rotate and Fold Down
You’re just lining it up with the edge behind it as marked.
Unfold the Half Crease and Fold the Two Corners Into the Center
Fold Into the Crease and Roll It Back In
Fold the Wings Behind and Fold to the Edge
Fold the Fin
Make sure it lines up with the edge behind.
Fold Into the Center and Where It Catches
Do All of That Again
Repeat all of that from step 8 on the other side.
Fold in Half and Wrap Around to Lock the Plane
Fold the Wings and Line Up the Back Edge
You also want to continue that crease just above the bottom of the lock where it will catch before it tears. Repeat on both sides.
Final Touches
Unfold the wings, straighten the fins, and add some up elevator pinches. Now you have a finished Vanguard!
Fly It
