Fast Paper Missile That Flies Really Far: the Comet
Ready for your first origami missile??? Well here comes one called comet! (No this one is also not my design.
Supplies
The scraps you get from cutting a printer paper sheet into a square
two hands
Fold in Half Twice
You are first going to fold in half lengthwise and then again from top to bottom.
Do a Sequence
First you are going to fold one of the corners to the center crease, then bring that crease and align it with the center crease again, fold to that center crease and fold it all back over as shown. (Man… i said “center crease” a lot!😂)
Repeat on All Sides
(I showed you once I’m not gonna show you twice)
Do Another Big Sequence
fold one of the flat parts of the sides to the center, unfold and fold one of the top corners to the center as well, fold the crease you just made along the first crease of this sequence, swivel a pocket down on the layer under it, fold the excess layer over the swivel, squash, and fold it over as shown.
Roll the Sides Into the Center
Fold one flap to a crease and roll it till it meets the center, fold that roll in half to make it more narrow, and do that on the opposite side.
Twist the Missile to Give It Spin
(You should know how to do that)
Finished
Now that you are done with the Comet, you are ready to fly it.
