A Personalized Keepsake That Speaks Without Words and A Memory You Can Wear Forever

What if you could hold onto someone—not in a photo, not in a message—but in something you wear every day?

A fingerprint is the most unique identity a person has. No two are ever the same. This project transforms that identity into a permanent, wearable memory.

Jewelry becomes truly meaningful when it tells a story.

In this project, I didn’t just create a pendant—I captured a moment, a person, a connection. Using a real fingerprint, digital design, and laser engraving, I turned something deeply personal into something you can carry close to your heart.

Whether it's for a friend, family member, or someone special, this pendant is more than a gift—it's a symbol of connection that stays close to the heart 💛

✨ Because memories fade—but this doesn’t.

❤️ The Story Behind This Piece

This pendant isn’t just a design—it represents connection.

In a world where everything is digital and temporary, I wanted to create something physical and lasting. Something that holds emotional value, not just visual appeal.

A fingerprint carries identity, presence, and memory. Turning it into jewelry means turning a person into something you can keep with you—always.

  3. CO2 Laser cutter machine

Import your final design into LaserCAD and assign layers for engraving (fingerprint + text) and cutting (outline)

🔍 Engraving Settings (for MDF):

  1. Power: 25-30%
  2. Speed: 250–350 mm/s
  3. Use higher speed + lower power to preserve fine fingerprint details

✂️ Cutting Settings (for MDF ~3mm):

  1. Power: 65–80%
  2. Speed: 10–20 mm/s
  3. Use 1–2 passes depending on machine power

⚠️Always follow laser safety guidelines.

💡 Pro Tip: Too much power will burn fine fingerprint lines—always prioritize detail over depth. Run a small test engrave first to fine-tune clarity and depth

Start engraving first, then proceed with cutting and then carefully remove the pendant after completion

Clean the surface gently (dry cloth or light sanding) to remove burn marks and residue

Prepare the Chain and Assemble the Pendant
