Have you ever woken up in the morning and had nothing in your house for breakfast and you didn't want to drive anywhere? if so, then use this perfect chocolate chip pancake recipe that hits any chocolate craving spot! It's easy, simple, doesn't cause a lot of mess and is easy to whip up anywhere at anytime! The reason I am making these is because I love to eat these on the weekends or week days and you can make them in the morning quickly for your families or friends.

Supplies

These supplies are easy to get and aren't expensive to buy and you probably have most of them at home:

Ingredients

  1. 1 large egg
  2. 1 cup of all purpose flour
  3. 3/4 cups of milk
  4. 1 tablespoon of Sugar
  5. 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  6. 3 teaspoons of baking powder
  7. 1/2 cup or 1 cup of chocolate chips
  8. butter or margarine for griddle/stove

Supplies

  1. Griddle or pan
  2. Measuring cups
  3. Electric whisk mixer or hand whisk
  4. Bowls
  5. spatula

Whisk the Egg Separately

Whisk the large egg separately in your bowl until the egg and egg white are fully combined together!

Mix All the Ingredients Together

Add in all of the ingredients into the eggs you have just whisked and whisk them all together except for the butter/margarine since you only need the butter/margarine for the griddle/pan.

After all the ingredients are mixed together add in the amount of your choice of chocolate chips and mix them through thoroughly with the rest of your batter.

Bake Pancakes on Griddle

After you have mixed all of the ingredients together heat up your griddle to medium heat. If you don't know if your griddle is hot enough yet you can sprinkle some water droplets on it and if it bubbles or jumps around its hot enough.

Use butter or margarine to grease the griddle before putting the pancake batter on.

To put the pancake batter on the griddle use slightly less than 1/4 of a cup for each of your pancake sizes. Once the pancake starts to get little bubbles around the top of the pancake or is dry and puffy around the edges the pancake is ready to flip with a spatula or knife. Keep flipping it until golden brown and you're happy with the texture and fluffiness.

Reflection

I hope You enjoyed this recipe and it was easy to follow. Hopefully everything went well for you during this recipe. I really enjoyed making these pancakes because they where really simple to make and had a delicious outcome. Next time I make these I won't squish down the pancakes as much as I did when they were cooking on the griddle because then they would take longer to cook but it would be worth it since they would be extra fluffy and softer on the inside. I also learned that if I added more milk to the pancakes they would come out thinner but about the same fluffiness.
