Fresh and Simple Blender Applesauce
Applesauce seems like one of those things you have to cook for ages, which I'm certainly not interested in. And for me, the applesauce from the store just tastes old and flavorless. But it really doesn’t have to be that complicated. Using a blender cuts the whole process down to a few minutes, and the result is, in my opinion, much, much better. This is a great way to use up apples and make something fresh without turning it into a big project.

Supplies
- A Blender
- 2 large apples
- A kitchen knife
- Fruit/vegetable peeler
- Tablespoon measure spoon
- Medium/large cutting board
- Light brown sugar
- Ground cinnamon (optional)
- 2 bowels and spoons
Peel and Cut Those Apples
Take your fruit peeler and take off all the skin. You could either do this over a trash can or just over the cutting board- just as long as all the scraps eventually end up in the trash. Once this is done, use your kitchen knife to cut the apples. Throw away the apple core.
I recommend cutting your apples into smaller pieces- this makes it easier for the blender to eventually make it into applesauce. However, you may not need to if your blender is powerful enough.
Add Cinnamon and Sugar
Take all those pieces of fresh apple and put them into the blender. You may choose to add some cinnamon for flavor. If you don't have light brown sugar, no worries! Most types of sugar will be fine for a substitute. Either way, add in 1 tablespoon of sugar.
Make It!
Plug in the blender to a power outlet, and turn it on! After about a minute, it should be ready to serve. This amount of applesauce can serve 2-3 people, just depending on how hungry you are. Enjoy the new way to make fresh and easy applesauce!
