Handmade Pink and Pearl Hand Chain
I love jewellery, I love making things that I can use because it brings me a sense of satisfaction and pride. I got inspiration from Pinterest and decided that I wanted to make a bracelet attached to a ring which apparently called a hand chain. I decided to use pink beads and pearls because I wanted it to look feminine and classy.
This was super easy to make and took about 2-3 hours to complete. It’s a very straightforward process that anyone can carry out.
Supplies
- Cutting pliers
- round nose pliers
- Long nose pliers
- beads
- pearls
- Thin gold wire
- gold eye pins
- Gold clasps
- jump rings
Creating the Bracelet
- I placed one small pink bead onto the eye pin and used my cutting pliers to cut it to an appropriate length.
- i used the round nose pliers to curl the end of the eye pin to create another eye and I used my long nose pliers to press down on it so it creates a closed loop
- i repeated the previous step but instead of closing the loop i feed it through the other loop i created on the first bead and then i close the loop.
- i repeated the third step while interchanging between the pink beads and the pearls until the chain was long enough to go around my wrist.
- i attached a jump ring to one end of the chain and attached a jump ring and a clasp to the other end of the chain and I had my bracelet.
Making the Ring
- the first thing I did was to wrap the golden wire around a cylinder shaped thing to get the shape of the ring and I made sure that what I used as a template wasn’t too big or too small for my finger
- i then fed three beads through the golden wire and pushed them to the middle of the wire
- i then took both ends of my wire and wrapped them around the ring tightly to hold the beads and the whole ring in place
- i used my long nose pliers to secure the ends of the golden wire and make sure it doesn’t poke out or unravel
Make the Connecting Chain
- I did the same process I used to make the bracelet to make the connecting chain and I made it to my desired length
- I attached jump rings to both ends of the chain then attached one of the jump ring to the middle of the bracelet through the chain loops
- then I attached the other jump ring through the ring that I had made earlier
- i made sure everything was connected properly and well held together
Final Results!
I am very happy and satisfied with the final result. It was a really fun, easy and quick process and now I have another jewellery piece that I can use to elevate my outfits.
overall I am very proud of my work and I hope that you’ll also find it easy to make this jewellery piece in your own way and be proud of the final result.
