How I Built a Fast Gemini Watermark Remover (and How You Can Use It)
If you’ve ever generated images with Gemini, you’ve probably run into this:
You get a great-looking image…
but it’s ruined by a watermark or something you don’t want.
I kept hitting this issue again and again, so I decided to build a simple tool to fix it — and in this guide, I’ll show you how it works and how you can use it yourself.
Supplies
For this project, you only need:
- A browser (Chrome / Edge / Safari)
- An image generated by Gemini (or any image you want to edit)
The Problem With Gemini Images
If you’ve ever used Gemini to generate images, you’ve probably noticed this:
The image looks great — but it includes a watermark or unwanted elements.
In my case, I often needed to:
- Remove Gemini watermarks
- Fix strange Nano Banana artifacts
- Clean up random objects
Most tools I tried were either slow or required large uploads, which made quick edits frustrating.
The Simple Tool I Built
To solve this problem, I built a lightweight browser-based tool:
At first, I only used it to remove Gemini watermarks.
But over time, I found it useful for many other cases, including editing real photos.
Removing a Watermark
Here’s an example of removing a watermark.
Before: the image contains a visible watermark
After: the image looks clean and natural
This works by selecting the area and letting AI fill it in.
Removing Objects With Brush Tool
You can also remove objects easily:
1. Upload your image
2. Brush over the unwanted area
3. Let the AI generate a clean result
The process is quick and usually blends well with the background.
More Use Cases
This tool is not limited to AI images.
You can also use it for:
- Removing people from travel photos
- Cleaning backgrounds
- Erasing text or distractions
Features
Current features include:
- Watermark removal (Gemini / Nano Banana)
- Object and text removal
- Brush-based editing
- Natural AI fill
- Adding text or logos
Why I Built It This Way
I wanted something simple and fast:
- No signup
- Minimal friction
- Quick edits
It runs mostly in the browser, so you don’t need heavy uploads.
Try It Yourself
