How to Change a Headlight Bulb

Hi, my name is Riley, and I will show how to change a headlight bulb. I have been working on vehicles for years, and I want to show people how to change a light bulb, so people don’t have to overpay for a mechanic to do it. Most Americans get ripped of by auto shop for over price when it’s simple to do yourself.

Sometimes it’s a longer process with other vehicles because Sum vehicles either have to take the bumper off or take the whole housing out.

• Socket set
• Flat head screwdriver

See if the cover can be reach from the back side, if can’t be reached, then take the housing off. Sometimes the bumper may have to come off to get to the housing because the bumper covers the mounting bolts for the housing.

Once the housing out twists the back cover which will reveal the bulb, inspect the bulb wires for any damage wires or corrosion. Twist the bulb out and remove the bulb out of the housing. Look inside the plug for any damage pins or burnt-out ones.

If everything checks out on the plug or wires plug your new headlight in. Make sure you don’t touch the bulb because it can weaken the bulb.

Go ahead and put the housing on and reassemble every thing that was disassemble and check to see if it works.
