How to Connect Neopixel Ring to the Micro:bit and Make a Sound Level Display

Instead of using the micro:bit's LEDs to make a sound level thingy, I used an Neopixel ring to display the sound level using it's LED's

A micro:bit V2 (Must be V2!)

3x Male to Male jumper wires

Neopixel ring (the number of LEDs on your ring matters!)

A 5V power source (like a laptop or power bank that has USB for micro:bit)

Grab your neopixel ring, micro:bit, and your 3 male to male jumper wires! Connect the Neopixel's GND to the micro:bit's GND.

Connect the V+ Pin to the 3V pin on the micro:bit

And the last pin, the IN pin receives data from micro:bit. Connect it to P0

Open a new project in Microsoft Makecode. Go to extensions and search neopixel. You should click on the first one

After you have added the neopixel extension, count your LEDs on the ring. Then put in the number of LEDs in the

"set strip to..." block
