How to Make Buldak Quattro Cheese Fire Chicken Ramen

Buldak Quattro Cheese Fire Chicken Ramen

Greetings everyone! If you’ve ever watched a food anime like Shokugeki no Soma and immediately felt hungry (like me), you’ll get why I made this dish. Inspired by anime food, I took a Quattro Cheese Buldak Ramyeon and upgraded it with a cheese blend and the best toppings that came into my mind. My goal was to make a bowl that looks exactly like it was drawn by an anime illustrator: vibrant, mouthwatering and irresistible! It’s a super easy and tasty bowl for any fan of spicy noodles. :)

Supplies

Ingredients:

1 pack Buldak Quattro Cheese Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen

1 tbsp Lee Kum Kee mushroom stir-fry sauce

50g Cheese (Mozzarella or Cheddar)

250g Chicken breast

20g Oyster mushrooms

15g Parmesan

70ml Cream

3 Eggs

10g Mixed sesame seeds

1 tsp Salt

1 tsp White pepper

1/2 tsp Curry powder

Flour and breadcrumbs (for breading)

Chopped chives (for topping)

A little lemon juice (optional)

Prepping the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast in half and tenderize both pieces lightly with a meat hammer. Season with salt and pepper. Prepare three plates. One with flour, one with an egg wash (using 2 of the eggs), and one with the breading mix (breadcrumbs, salt, sesame seeds, curry powder and about 5g of grated parmesan). Coat each piece of meat in flour, then egg and finally the breadcrumb mix. Fry on medium-high heat for about a minute per side until golden brown.

Prep Mushrooms & Egg

Clean and separate the oyster mushrooms. Fry them in vegetable oil and season with a pinch of salt. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain. Sunny side up, fry with the remaining oil from the mushrooms to get the best aroma. Sprinkle some salt on the top.

Follow the Buldak package instructions by boiling 600ml of water. Add the noodles. Once they soften, stir in the included seasoning packets, the mushroom sauce and the cream. Let it simmer for a minute, then stir in the mozzarella and parmesan until melted.

Plating & Enjoy

Plate the noodles first. Slice the schnitzel into strips and place them on one side. On the other side arrange the mushrooms and the egg. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the egg, a squeeze of lemon juice over the chicken and finish by scattering the chopped chives over the entire dish.

Definitely a heavy one, but so worth it for a quick weekend cheat meal! The mix of flavors are great, but the cheesy noodles are the real highlight. I hope you'll enjoy it! Let me know if you give it a go! Enjoy!
