How to Make Simple Beeswax Fire Starters

mail.google.jpg

I am making beeswax fire starters because whenever I go to start my fireplace or go camping and I bring in damp wood its a nightmare to start but with my beeswax fire starters it doesn't have to be a nightmare anymore you can now start damp wood (keep in mind this is a firestarter not a flamethrower).it can take some time but once the beeswax melts onto the wood the fire will quite literally stick and as long as you have a decent amount of paper it will catch on ( make sure to make another one incase the first one fails to catch on ). make sure to also have kindling so that it'll really get going good.

Supplies

1:4-5 cubes of small beeswax

2:lavender (however much you want)

3:small pinecones (however much you want)

4:paper muffin wrappers (for decoration burn if you want to)

5:Wix to light and start it.

Filling the Muffin Tin

Fill each muffin tin with paper muffin wrapper ,lavender ,small pinecones and put a wick that will be long enough so that it sticks up above the supplies.

Melting the Wax

Then you're going to put the beeswax into a frypan and turn it on high heat until melted. Be careful when pouring the wax into the muffin tin. After you pour it wait until its solid.

Reflection

the thing I found most challenging was pouring the wax into the muffin tin without getting burned. My suggestion would be to wear oven mitts when pouring the beeswax.
