How to Make a Fidget Cone Using Fusion 360 and 3D Printing 🌀
Hi, my name is Saumya 👋. In this project, I created a Fidget Cone using Fusion 360, a powerful 3D design software 💻. This guide will show you how I designed the model and turned it into a real object using a 3D printer 🖨️.
Supplies
Computer or Laptop
Internet Connection
Fusion 360 (Personal Use version)
Bambu Lab P1S 3D Printer ️
PLA Filament
Bambu Lab Studio Software
SD Card (for transferring G-code file)
Learn the Design 🎥
first, I watched a tutorial video to understand how to create a Fidget Cone. This helped me learn the design process and tools in Fusion 360.
Install Fusion 360 ⬇️
Search for “Autodesk” on your browser.
Open the official website and go to the product section, then select Fusion.
Click on “Download Free Trial” and choose the limited personal version.
Click on “Get Autodesk Fusion for Personal Use.”
Sign in to your account and click “Trust this device.”
Complete the three steps shown and submit.
Finally, click “Download Now,” install the software, and sign in.
Create the Fidget Cone Design 🛠️
Open Fusion 360 and start a new project.
Use the design tools to create the Fidget Cone by following the tutorial.
Once completed, save your design file.
Set Up the 3D Printer ⚙️
I used a Bambu Lab P1S 3D printer with PLA filament.
Install Bambu Lab Studio software to control the printer.
Set up the filament type, vendor, temperature, and other required settings.
Slice the Model 🔄
Import your design file into Bambu Lab Studio.
Adjust the print settings if needed.
Click on slice to convert the model into G-code, which the printer understands.
Print the Fidget Cone 🖨️✨
Transfer the G-code file to the printer using an SD card.
Insert the SD card into the printer and start printing.
Wait for the print to complete.
Your Fidget Cone will be ready with a smooth and high-quality finish 🎉
Conclusion🎯
This project shows how a digital design can be turned into a real object using 3D printing. It is a fun and creative way to learn design and manufacturing 🚀.
