How to Make a Pop Figure Shelf

In this intructable, i'm going to show you how to make a shelf for pop figures with built in lights out of items that were going to be thrown out.

Here are the supplies that I used to create this product. Starting in the bottom right is a 5 ring Lenovo cable manager, on the bottom left is some scrap metal from the back of a computer, right above that is a bag of lights from a raspberry pie kit, to the right of that is a hd video converter, lastly there is a slim dell computer.

I started by bending out 2 of the rings on the cable manager to create enough room for a pop figure to stand up. Be careful when bending out the rings because the metal can break and become sharp.

I removed the 4 philips screws from the bottom of the hd video converter then pulled it apart and removed the internal to make 2 shelfs.

After pulling it into 2 and removing the internals i got the two halves and the scrap metal to use for shelfs. I folded pieces of duct tape to make it double sided and stuck them to the not bent out rings of the cable manager.

After building the shelfs I got a pair of dykes and cut some of the plastic fins on the computer so that I could slide the bottom of the cable manager into it using the computer as the sturdy base.

After cutting a thin hole into some of the fins of the computer I pushed the cable manager into it while moving it back and fourth to get it to go all the way in and be as sturdy as possible. Some of the fins were thicker than others and it helps to slowly twist the dykes to break the thicker plastic.

After finally getting the shelf stable and in place I stuck the small lights onto the bottom of the shelfs where the duct tape was still visible to give lighting for the figures.

The final step is to add your favorite figures to the shelfs and display where ever you'd like!, I used chatgpt to create this final product photo
