Prepare the DIY Fish Scaling Tool
Take two metallic bottle caps and a small piece of wood. Place both bottle caps together on one side of the wooden piece and fix them firmly using nails. Make sure the caps are tightly attached so they can work as a rough surface for removing fish scales.
Hold the Fish Properly
Take the fish and hold it firmly from the tail area. Make sure the fish is secured properly so it does not move while removing the scales.
Remove Fish Scales Using the DIY Tool
Now use the homemade scaling tool and rub it against the fish’s body, moving from the tail side toward the head. The rough edges of the metallic bottle caps will remove the scales effectively.
Complete the Fish Cleaning Process
Continue rubbing the tool over the entire surface of the fish until all scales are removed. This simple DIY method helps clean the fish easily without needing a professional fish scaler or any special equipment.
