Prepare the Burnt Cookware
First, take any frying pan, pot, or metal cookware that has a burnt and stained bottom surface. Make sure the affected area is ready for the cleaning process.
Apply Shampoo on the Burnt Surface
Apply a layer of shampoo over the burnt area of the cookware. The shampoo helps create a smoother surface and improves the flexibility of the cleaning mixture.
Add Sand Over the Surface
After applying shampoo, sprinkle sand evenly over the entire burnt area. The sand works as a scrubbing agent to help loosen tough stains and residue.
Apply WD-40
Spray WD-40 over the sand-covered surface. The combination of WD-40 and sand helps soften and break down stubborn burnt marks, making them easier to remove.
Cover With Tissue Paper
Now cover the entire treated area with tissue paper. Make sure the tissue completely covers the surface so the solution stays in contact with the stains.
Let It Rest
Leave the cookware covered for around one hour. During this time, the mixture works on softening the hard burnt layer and loosening the stains.
Scrub With Steel Wool
After one hour, remove the tissue paper and check the surface. The burnt layer should become softer and easier to clean. Use steel wool to scrub the surface thoroughly and remove the loosened stains.
Reveal the Clean Surface
After proper scrubbing, you will notice that the original shine of the cookware has started to return. The burnt and dirty base becomes much cleaner and looks refreshed again.
