Infinity Bracelet With Brass Wire
I made an infinity charm bracelet. I made this for a school project and I thought it looked really good and to add it to the contest. It is made with brass wire and soldered.
Supplies
For this project I used round nose pliers, flat nose pliers, wire cutters, a pen, soldering station, anvil and hammer, pickle pot, brass wire brush, and a tumbler
Begin With the Jump Rings
To make your bracelet you wanna start with making your jump rings. you're gonna need at least 10-15, you want more just in case.
The Charms
What you wanna do next is make your infinity charms, you're gonna want to make around the same amount as jump rings you made but just 2 less. So your gonna take your round nose pliers and make one hoop and then do that again and cut the rest of the wire off, it should look like this
Flatten
Next you're gonna take the charms you just made and use your anvil and flatten them all out, you can do that for your jump rings also, but you don't need to.
Assemble
Once you have everything flattened out you're gonna assemble them. Use one of your jumps first and then put a charm through it and do that over and over till you use all your pieces and it should start and end with a jump ring.
Soldering
If you try on your bracelet it should be too small for you which is good because next you're gonna solder your jump rings. When you solder them, solder all the jump rings but one of them at the start. Once your done soldering put it in the pickle and wait 10 minutes
The Clasp
While you're waiting for your bracelet to be done in the pickle you can make your clasp for it. What your gonna do is take your round nose pliers and make a little hoop, then your gonna take something round that's just as thick as a straw, I used a pen, and wrap it around and then after your gonna take your round nose pliers again and make another hoop that is a little bigger then the first one you made.
Stretch Out the Jump Rings
When your bracelet is out of the pickle you are gonna brass brush your bracelet with soap and water. Then you are gonna take round nose pliers and put them into the jump ring and stretch it out to be an oval and do not do it to the last jump ring that is soldered or the jump ring that isn't either, if you want it more stretched out you can take other pliers and squeeze it to make it look longer.
Add Your Clasp and Finish
After that you are gonna take that jump ring you didn't solder and open it to put your clasp in it and then close it up, if you want you can solder it but it's not needed. And then you can polish it with the polish rag and put it in the tumbler for 10 minutes and once it is out , dry it and you are done.
