Karambit Knife

Karambit Knife (level: easy)

To make an easy yet good looking you need the following materials:

1. Wood of any kind (has to be good to work with)
2. A wood saw
3. A pen
4. Files/sandpaper
5. Paint and paintbrush to customize it with colour (optional)

Step by step plan for the making:

1. Use the piece of wood and a pen to trace the outlines of the karambit knife.

2. Take the saw and cut out a square to have a smaller piece of wood that you have to process.

3. Cut out a rough outline from the knife. When cutting out a rough outline, be sure to leave some edges and don't go too close to the traced knife, as this would make the next step a lot harder.

4. Now saw off the edges and be as exact as possible so that you don't have to file away as much wood. But be sure saw very straight (except for the rounded parts) because it is a lot harder to file a very uneven surface.

5. Now use a file and make all of the edges even. For the rounded off parts I would recommend you to use a round file as it will make things a lot easier. But as I said it is only a recommendation and it will also work without one.

6. Now that you have a simple karambit knife, you can customize it in which ever way you want, make the handle blue and blade red, for example. But this is only optional.

Notable:

The Karambit knife's design is meant to not be very sharp, so that it is more of an accessory than a weapon. Therefore it is greatly appreciated not to make it to one. Also if you try to sharpen it, it won't be very durable anymore and break.
