License Plate Travel Game
This DIY 3D printed License Plate Travel Game is a great way to keep kids busy without hanging out on a device on long drives. The license plate game involves tracking all the different license plates you see on the road with a goal of getting all 50 states.
Instead of keeping track of spotted state plates on a piece of paper, this physical toggle board lets you flip a switch for every state you find along the highway. It is a fun project to expose a new generate to a classic road trip game.

Materials
3d Print Files (Made on Fusion 360)
Print Out the Parts
Download the 3D print files (designed in Fusion 360) and slice them for your 3D printer.
Print the front board, the back board, and all 50 state toggles using your preferred filament colors.
Place the First Toggle
Take the front printed board and lay it flat on your workspace. Insert the first state toggle into its designated slot to ensure the tolerances are smooth and it slides freely.
Line Up All the Remaining Toggles
Continue placing the rest of the printed toggles into their respective slots on the board. Make sure they are all oriented in the same starting position so the toggles all show the colored indicator when slid.
Insert the Corner With Toggles Facing Down
Carefully hold the toggles in place and position the board so the toggles are facing downward. Insert the printed corner brackets into the frame to lock the toggles securely inside the board's tracks.
Glue the Corners
Apply a small dab of hot glue to the corner brackets to permanently secure them to the main frame. Hold the corners tightly in place for a few seconds until the glue fully sets and cools.
Conclusion
Your License Plate Travel Game is fully assembled and ready for your next cross-country adventure! Toss it in the car, hit the road, and start flipping the toggles as you spot different states.
