Mini Egg Yolk Separator

I decided to make an egg yolk separator because when cooking or baking, people often face the issue of not being able to separate the egg yolk from its white counterpart in an effective manner that is clean and quick. This tool allows the white to be separated from the yolk properly. All that simply needs to be done is crack the egg inside, and shake the tool until all of the whites spill out through the cracks.

Supplies

For tools to help me make this object, I primarily utilized Fusion 360 and MeshyAI, as they both allowed me to design and modify my objects to my liking. I also used Prusa Slicer in order to help print out my object in 3D.

How I Made My First Prototype

My first step was to design an efficient egg yolk separator, but I was not worried about functionality at the moment. I decided to create something based off of memory, and it ended up being smaller than expected. I created the prototype on MeshyAI, and I fixed some of the gaps on Fusion 360. Afterwards, I printed it out on Prusa Slicer. This prototype was printed in PLA filament, which is not food safe. For further improvements, I decided to make the tool larger while 3D printing and change the filament to PET-G to make it food safe.

How I Fixed Mistakes to Make My Final Prototype

My final design includes a larger version of my first prototype and was also food-safe, and I am very happy with the result!
