National Engineering Robotics Context (NERC) is a robotics context which is held by National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). NERC 2023 theme was Ripped fruit plucking robot making competition. In this you have to make an autonomous robot which follow a line and pluck only ripped yellow coloured fruit. All this shall be fully autonomous no human assistance after you turn the robot button ON.

This project was built as a team effort, and honestly, it wouldn’t have been possible without everyone’s dedication.

Kashif Khan (Me) handled the hardware design and managed all electronics work.

Samar Farooq kept the whole project on track and worked on the robot coding.

Owais Malik designed the complete mechanical structure with great attention to detail.

Maryam Afsar Khan code integration and documentation, making sure everything was clear and organized.

Maheen Kanwal helped with mechanical integration and also managed the project report and finances.

Sarmad Ahmad contributed to coding, reporting, and kept the team spirit alive with Love throughout.

There are total of 6 ripped fruit places randomly on a tree and 6 unripped fruit placed randomly. The robot has a time of 3min once you the whistle is blown. When you press the ON button the robot would follow the lien, Take turns, Take stops pluck the ripped fruit and go the next tree. There are total of 3 trees. After plucking the ripped fruits you have to drop the ripped fruit in a dropping zone which is predefined and then heads towards the parking are, Once you reach the parking area call the STOP and your task is done.
