Optimized Soap Holder

Every day, my soap seemed to disappear faster and faster, whether I put it in the built in soap holder in the wall, or in a bag that could be hung on the wall. This project tries to optimize a soap holder for placement in areas that may accumulate a lot of water.

I only used a Prusa mini printer for this project, and Fusion 360 to prototype!

For my first prototype, I designed a container similar to traditional soap holders, but with a hole at the bottom to drain out water. The bottom of the container is also cone shaped, in an attempt to funnel water down towards the drainage hole.

The prototype printed with errors, the hole covered with material, and I was unable to remove supports.

My 2nd prototype has a slanted bottom, more effectively shifting water towards the hole, and I adjusted the draining plate to be printed next to the container for easier removal.
