Chocolate Oreo Cinnamon Roll Filling
We're going to start off by making our filling. In a medium sized bowl mix together 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of black cocoa, and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon and set that to the side for later.
Dough
Make sure to preheat your oven to 200 F / 95 C. In a large bowl or a stand mixer bowl mix together, 3 1/2 cups of flour, 1 packet of instant dry yeast (or 2 teaspoons), and 1 teaspoon of salt.
In a different bowl, add 1 cup of milk, 1/4 cup of softened butter, and 1/2 cup granulated sugar into a microwave safe bowl. I REPEAT MICROWAVE SAFE BOWL.
Microwave it for 60-90(1:30) seconds, until the mixture is warm and the butter is melted.Mix the ingredients thoroughly.
Pour the warm mixture into your stander mixer where the flour is and mix on medium speed with a dough hook until all the dough is mixed together.
Add in your eggs and mix on low until your dough starts to form. Keep mixing on medium low speed for 2-3 minutes until your dough has mixed everything together.
While the dough is mixing add in a additional Tbsp of flour at a time until the dough begins to leave the sides of the bowl. To make sure the dough isn't to sticky poke your finger in it. Make sure it feels tacky but not sticky. When you pull your finger away make sure there is no dough on your fingers.
Still Dough
Once your done adding the flour and your dough is not sticky and there is no dough on the bowl, Mix in 1/2 cup of crushed Oreos on a medium speed. Mix until the Oreos are combined with the dough. Cover your bowl with plastic wrap and set it aside for 10 minutes so the dough can rest. The plastic wrap will fog up from the warmth of the dough.
Add a generous amount of flour and coat your counter and roll your dough into a nice rectangle. Spread 1/4 of softened butter onto the dough.
Sprinkle the cinnamon roll filling all over the dough then top it off with some crushed oreos.
Cut nice even strips of the dough and roll them up placing them into your 8 x 8 square pan.
TURN YOUR OVEN OFF NOW!
Cover your square pan with tinfoil and put it in the oven for 30 minutes(or until your cinnamon rolls have risen)
Once your cinnamon rolls have risen take them out of the oven and remove the tinfoil.
Now preheat your oven to 350 / 175 C.
Once your oven has preheated put your cinnamon rolls in the oven and bake for 26-30 or until your rolls are golden brown. Rotate your pan halfway through to help the rolls bake evenly.
Once your rolls have baked take them out of the oven and set them aside and let them cool for 10-20 minutes.
Vanilla Cinnamon Roll Glaze
To make the glaze, add 1 Tbsp of unsalted butter, 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of whole milk and 1 teaspoon of artificial vanilla extract in a medium-sized bowl. Mix it together until its fully smooth.
After your cinnamon rolls have cooled down, drizzle the glaze over the cinnamon rolls then lastly top them off with some crushed oreos.
ENJOY!!!!
I hope you enjoyed these cinnamon rolls just as much as i did. I hope everything went smoothly for you and you and your family enjoy these fluffy warm rolls just as much as my family did. ENJOYYYYY.
Reflection
Now for my reflection(I BEG YOU PLEASE SKIP THIS IF YOU ARE NOT MY TEACHER). I really enjoyed making these cinnamon rolls because they were very delicious. Something I think that I would change is to remember to buy powdered sugar for the glaze, but if you do forget put some sugar in a blender and blend until your sugar has turned into powder. Something to always remember is to turn off your oven before putting your rolls in that is covered with the foil. Something I would change just to switch it up is I would use biscoff and make it even more delicious. I had an amazing time making these and I hope you do too!
