Origami Space Shuttle With Cool Aesthetics: Orion
Now we are gonna move on from jets (for a little bit) and go in to the category of shuttles! Today I’m gonna teach you how to make Orion designed by IrrelEvant Paper Planes!
Supplies
Square paper
two hands
Make the First Few Creases
Make the first two diagonal folds on both ends.
Make a Rabbit Ear Fold
Make creases for a rabbit ear fold then fold the two creases at the same time.
Do a Sequence
Fold to the center, flip it over, unfold, and drag the crease to the center and then make another crease to the center again as shown.
Repeat
(I showed you once I’m not gonna show you again because that would be a lot)
Pop Out a Couple Pockets
next you will have two pockets on the side that you now need to pop out.
Squash Fold
you can either make creases for the squash fold or squash it without any creases.
Pedal Fold and Fold It Down
Fold in half make a crease towards the center, do that on the other side, pedal fold it, and fold it down.
Make the Ccc Pt1 (color Changed Canopy)
(If you made a plane similar to Frostbite then you should be able to fold this part)
Continue the Ccc
Fold down the top of the color changed cockpit, fold in the top corners, and then fold in the sides.
Do Another Big Sequence for the Wings
Swivel down the wing of the shuttle to where some edges align then invert the bottom of the wing to the inside of a pocket underneath the wing. (I don’t know of another way to explain it…)
Repeat
(I showed you once I’m not showing you again)
Prepare the Jet Fold
Make a pinch crease from the top of the cockpit, fold the two inner edges out from that pinch then to the end of that edge, then prepare the jet fold.
Jet Fold
Fold the two side in to the center as shown.
Pop Out the Tail Fin
Invert the bottom to the top to make the tail fin.
Lock It Then Make the Engine
Roll the two small tabs up twice to lock it, wrap the extra bigger flap, then do it with the other flap to the other side.
Open the Engine Then Fold Up the Wings
You can use a pencil to roll out the engine but you can just bend up the wings with you fingers across the jet fold.
Finished
If you’re still watching then that means you have finished Orion.
Fly It
(no… I didn’t fly it into the litter box again lol😂)
