Potentiometer Controlled DC Motor
The objective of this project is to control the speed of a DC motor using a potentiometer and an Arduino Nano. The potentiometer allows the motor speed to be adjusted smoothly from 0% to 100% while the motor rotates continuously in one direction.
Supplies
Deshbot shield
Arduino Nano
DC Motor
Potentiometer
Power Supply
Objective
The potentiometer provides an analog voltage to A1. The Arduino Nano reads this voltage using its analog-to-digital converter, giving a value between 0 and 1023.
The Arduino converts this value into a PWM value between 0 and 255 and sends it to pin D6. This PWM signal controls the speed of the motor.
Result
The DC motor rotates in one direction, and its speed can be controlled using the potentiometer. Turning the potentiometer from minimum to maximum increases the motor speed from 0% to 100%.
