Recyclable Checkers Board and Checkers Pieces

Have you ever wanted to play checkers but you don't have a checkers board? Here's how to make an easy checkers board and checkers pieces and the best part is it's recyclable.

Supplies

two different colors of paper of your choice

Scissors

A Marker any color

24 Bottle caps

And Glue {Optional}

using the marker you can color the bottle caps any color you want or just leave them the color they are. draw a crown on the inside of the bottle cap.

Fold the yellow piece of paper in half you can use a different color paper. I just use these colors to match the checker pieces.

Cut slits not all the way to the top but from the folded end almost all the way to the top but leave room.

Using the white paper cut slits all the way from the bottom to the top of the paper but the slips have to be big enough to have 12 White lines.

When you're done lay out all day pieces in front of you

Using the white slits weave them into the yellow spots going up and down on the second one you're wanting to do the opposite

You're going to want to repeat until all of the white slips are gone and you have approximately 12 slots of white

{Optional} using the glue glue the pieces onto the yellow paper into place.
