Welcome to the step-by-step guide for building your ESP32-controlled robotic arm kit! This manual will walk you through the complete mechanical assembly of your robot. Everything you need is included right in the box. Make sure your workspace is clean and organized so you don't lose any tiny parts. Have Fun.

Battery Box

Parts Needed:

  1. Main Base
  2. 6xAA Power Box
  3. 2x M3 x 5mm Screws

Step: Place the 6xAA Power Box onto the standoffs at the rear of the Main Base and secure it in place using two M3 x 5mm screws.

Esp-32

Parts Needed:

  1. Main Base
  2. Maker-ESP32 Board
  3. 4x M4 x 15mm Screws

Step:

Place the Maker-ESP32 board onto the base posts and screw it in using four M4x15mm screws.

Dc Motor

Parts Needed:

  1. N20 Motor
  2. DC Motor Holder
  3. Mini N20 Motor Gear

Step: Slide the N20 motor into the DC motor holder and press the mini motor gear onto the motor shaft.

Motor to Base

Parts Needed:

  1. Main Base (with ESP board)
  2. Assembled N20 Motor & Holder

Step: Insert the assembled N20 motor and holder into the slot on the main base.

Swivel Gear

  2. Large Swivel Gear

Step: Slide the large swivel gear down over the cylindrical post on the main base.

Gear Brace

  3. 3x M4 x 15mm Screws

Step: Place the gear brace over the large swivel gear and secure it using three M4x15mm screws.

Swivel Base

Step: Place the swivel base onto the cylinder and secure it using two M4x5mm screws.

Servo Horn

Parts Needed:

  1. Full Base Assembly
  2. White Servo Horn
  3. 2x M2 x 6mm Screws

Step: Place the white servo horn into the slot on the swivel base upright and secure it with two M2x6mm screws.

Shoulder Arm 1

Parts Needed:

  1. Shoulder Arm 1
  2. 1x Micro Servo
  3. 1x 4.6k Strong Micro Servo
  4. 4x M2 x 6mm Screws

Step: Insert the 4.6kg strong micro servo opposite of the flat edge then the regular servo next to the flat edge. secure them with four M2x6mm screws, making sure the servo heads face away from each other towards the outer edges.

Hex Column

Parts Needed:

  1. Shoulder Arm 1 Assembly
  2. Small Hex Column
  3. 2x M4 x 15mm Screws

Step: Screw the small hex column onto the back of Shoulder Arm 1 using two M4x15mm screws.

Shoulder Arm 2

  3. 2x M4 x 15mm Screws

Step: Attach Shoulder Arm 2 to the open end of the small hex column using two M4x15mm screws.

Shoulder to Base

  3. Servo Screw (Came With Servo)

Step: Lower the Shoulder Arm Assembly onto the Swivel arms and push the servo into the servo horn then screw it in

Shoulder to Base Part 2

Parts Needed:

  1. Shoulder Arm Assembly
  2. Full Base Assembly
  3. 1x M4 x 15mm Screw

Step: Secure the Shoulder Arm Assembly to the Swivel Base by inserting an M4 x 15mm screw through the side pivot hole on the upright arm.

Servo Horn to Elbow Arm 1

Parts Needed:

  1. Elbow Arm 1
  2. Servo Horn
  3. 2x M2 x 6mm Screws

Step: Press the servo horn into the recessed slot on Elbow Arm 1 and secure it in place using two M2 x 6mm screws.

Wrist Servo

Parts Needed:

  1. Elbow Arm 1
  2. Wrist Servo Holder
  3. 1x MG90S 9g Micro Servo
  4. 2x M2 x 6mm Screws

Step: Slot the Wrist Servo Holder onto the top tabs of Elbow Arm 1, place the MG90S 9g Micro Servo into the cutout with the cable facing the groove, and secure the servo using two M2 x 6mm screws.

Elbow Mounting

Parts Needed:

  1. Elbow Arm Assembly
  2. 1x Servo Horn Screw

Step: Firmly press the servo horn onto the servo then screw it in with a servo horn screw.

Elbow Arm 2

  3. 2x M4 x 15mm Screws

Step: Press the servo horn onto the servo, place Elbow Arm 2 onto the side of the main assembly, and secure it using two M4 x 15mm screws through the top side holes.

Elbow Joint

Parts Needed:

  2. 1x M4 x 15mm Screw

Step: Insert one M4 x 15mm screw through the center pivot hole on the elbow arm to secure the joint assembly.

Wrist Servo Horn Mount

  1. Wrist Mid Peice
  2. Double Servo Horn
  3. 2x M2 x 6mm Screws

Step: Press the double servo horn into the recessed slot on the Claw Servo Holder and secure it using two M2 x 6mm screws.

Wrist Assembly Part 1

Parts Needed:

  1. Wrist Middle Piece Assembly
  2. Claw Servo Holder

Step: Slot the tabs of the Claw Servo Holder into the corresponding mounting slots at the bottom of the Wrist Middle Piece.

Wrist Assembly Part 2

Parts Needed:

  1. Wrist & Claw Holder Assembly
  2. 1x MG90S 9g Micro Servo
  3. 2x M2 x 6mm Screws

Step: Insert the MG90S 9g Micro Servo into the rectangular cutout on the Wrist Middle Piece and secure it using two M2 x 6mm screws.

Claw Servo Horn Mount

Parts Needed:

  1. Claw 1
  2. Single Servo Horn
  3. 1x M2 x 6mm Screw

Step: Press the single servo horn into the recessed slot on Claw 1 and secure it in place using one M2 x 6mm screw.

Claw Assembly Part 1

Parts Needed:

  1. Claw 1 Assembly
  2. Wrist & Claw Holder Assembly
  3. Servo Screw (Came With Servo)

Step: Press the Claw 1 Assembly onto the MG90S micro servo shaft and secure it through the center using the servo screw.

Claw Assembly Part 2

Parts Needed:

  1. Claw 2
  2. Main Assembly
  3. 1x M4 x 15mm Screw

Step: Mesh the gear teeth of Claw 2 with Claw 1, then secure Claw 2 to the Wrist Middle Piece using one M4 x 15mm screw inserted through the pivot hole from behind.

Safety Screw

Parts Needed:

  1. Swivel Base Assembly
  2. 1x M4 x 15mm Screw

Step: Insert an M4 x 15mm screw down into the outer mounting hole on the swivel base plate to secure the assembly to the lower base mount.

Plug In the Servo Cables

IMPORTANT: Make sure the board is OFF while plugging in or unplugging anything.

  1. Claw: Plug the white cable into the port labeled 26.
  2. Wrist: Plug the Wrist cable into 25.
  3. Elbow: Plug the Elbow cable into 33.
  4. Shoulder: Plug the Shoulder cable into 32.

Important: Match the white/yellow cable with the blue connector on the board.

DC Motor

Plug the DC motor cable into the motor connector. It only fits one way—do not force it.

POWER

Plug the circular power cable from the Battery Pack into the ESP-32 Board.
