Security Camera Locking Device

For this project I wanted to make a new and modern way to lock a door remotely, you won't need to have to worry about forgetting to lock your door ever again. This is a NON-FUNCTIONING project due to a lack of skill with wiring and absence of materials.

For this project I used a camera, an old calculator, then I got these two little circles that fit in each other, added some lube and not it rotates, piece of plastic with a hole in the middle for the circle to rotate in, and two other pieces of this plastic.

My first step was to take a part this calculator so we can get this little piece circled, this was really easy to take out just remove the case of the calculator and pull it off.

The second thing I did was grab these two circle things from somewhere and put some lube, this causes it to rotate but is still locked in place.

At this point you would have to wire and get a little more creative, but I do not have the resources so we will proceed with what we have.

Now we will have to hook up the camera like regular, but place it directly on top of the door and plug all the wires in, and ensure the camera works as usual.

After this you will place the calculator arm inside the camera, through the wall, and mount the rotating device to it. After that you will put the plastic pieces across the top of the door where the hinge is to prevent it from opening.

Purpose

This is my invention and way to create a new way to look at your cameras and ensure you have a second way to lock the door. Sometimes you forgot to or you just left it open for a second, but in that time your camera detects danger and you need a way to lock it, with this device you will be able to lock it and watch the intruder give up. This also doubles as a way to close your door remotely without anyone being there.
