Sock Monkey

This is a monkey made out of a pair of socks by Sadie medway,12yrs it is hand sewn and really easy

Tip: use pins to hold things in place

Supplies

You will need

  1. A pair of socks as shown
  2. A sewing needle
  3. Thread
  4. Two buttons
  5. Stuffing
  6. Some pins
  7. Fabric market
  8. Scissors

The Main Body

Draw lines as shown and cut out the middle to make the legs and body. Then sew all the way along sealing the cuts. IMPORTANT do not sew the crotch

Stuffing

Flip inside out and stuff with Stuffing, make sure you get all the way down the legs. Then sew the crotch

Copy the lines shown onto your other sock, then cut them out and sew along them leaving a hole at the end. Then stuff them.

Sew the parts to the correct places

Finish by sewing on the buttons as eyes then done!

We finished a simple hand sewn monkey made from a old pair of socks. Plus he's super cute
