  3. White and black paints (optional)
  4. Small black beads
  5. Superglue
  6. Brass rods (1.15 mm diameter or smaller)
  7. Fish earring hooks and head pins (I just got some cheap multipacks off of Amazon)

Optional: Surface Prep

Gently sand the surface of the face and hair, starting at 600 grit and going up to 1000 grit, to remove any surface imperfections caused by the 3D printing process.

(He wants to make a DEAL, but don't give him your MONEY!)

Detail Painting

Using your fine-tipped paintbrush, fill in Spamton’s cheeks and glasses with their corresponding colors. Gently sand any excess paint away once dry. If desired, you can go over the mouth crevices with a toothpick and black paint to bring out the shadows.

Beading

IMG_4268.jpeg

Put three to four tiny beads on each head pin. This will help to ensure proper spacing and to lock the jaw in place.

(Smells like KROMER.)

Assembly

Attach the nose to the central hole of the face. Ensure the interior holes line up. Thread the beaded end pins through the top of Spamton’s jaw and through the top of his head. Slide his hair piece down on top of the pin and secure it to his head with a dab of superglue.

Next, take your brass rod (I used 1.15 diameter, but slightly smaller diameter should also work well; use superglue on the ends if needed) and thread it through the hole on the side of the hair part, line it up with the holes on the jaw, and slide the rod all the way through. Cut ends flush with the hair. Make sure the paint is dry on the glasses, then push them into the face.

(Spamton flashes an award-losing smile.)

Attach the Earring Hooks

Using your needle-nose pliers, bend the end of the head pin into a semicircle, slide on the earring hooks, cut the pin to size, and finish bending the circle.
