Tip : Either you can build your own wooden frames or buy a readymade frame from online marketplaces, they are really affordable than making.

To create this premium gallery look, you don't need an advanced woodworking workshop. You just need a few smart, off-the-shelf items and a clean design layout.

1. 8 Readymade Black Border Frames: I bought these directly from the online market. Ensure you choose frames with enough internal depth (often called shadow boxes or deep-profile frames) so the glass doesn't crush the top of your toy cars.
2. 8 Diecast Toy Cars: Pick a diverse or thematic collection of cars, ensuring they are sorted into 8 distinct color gradients to form your rainbow sequence.
3. High-Quality Paper or Cardstock: Necessary for printing your custom background designs with sharp, professional results.
4. Double-Sided Tape: A heavy-duty mounting tape works best to securely hold the weight of the diecast cars vertically over time.
5. Graphic Design Software: (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator) to create the layout grids and spec sheets.
6. Printing Solution: A Desktop Printer (or a local print shop for vibrant, color-accurate prints).
7. Wall Hanging Hardware: Nails, screws, or damage-free hanging strips to mount the finished pieces.
8. Cutting &Trimming: Craft knife/paper trimmer and a ruler.

Pro-Tip : In my scenario here I used normal 5"x7" inch black border photo frames directly from Amazon. If you buy from offline market take one of your diecast cars with you to the market when buying the frames. Place the car inside the frame sample to make sure the glass closes completely without touching the roof or scratching the paint.

The secret to achieving that high-end gallery aesthetic is the custom backing artwork.

1. Open your preferred graphic design software and set your canvas dimensions to match the exact internal layout of your readymade frames.
2. Design 8 distinct colored backgrounds, transitioning smoothly across the color spectrum to match your cars.
3. Add custom accents to elevate the visual appeal: place a bold, vertical racing stripe directly down the center, or add a unique racing number, and align real-world vehicle technical specs (like Power, Torque, and Car Model) neatly at the bottom or wherever it fits best in your design.
4. Export your final designs at a high resolution (300 DPI) to guarantee the text and colors print crisply.

Pro-Tip: Keep your design colors slightly desaturated (a little less bright) on screen. Printing usually makes colors appear darker and deeper, so desaturating them slightly ensures the final print perfectly matches the car's paint.

With the designs finalized, it's time to bring them into the physical world.

1. Print out your 8 custom background images. If you don't have a high-quality color printer at home, take the files to a local print shop to ensure the colors are incredibly rich and vibrant.
2. Then cut the extra useless parts from the A4 papers carefully aligning with ruler and cutter.
3. Carefully disassemble your readymade black border frames and thoroughly clean the glass on both sides to remove any factory dust, smudges, or fingerprints.
4. Insert the freshly printed background sheets into their respective frames, pressing them flat against the backer board, and secure the frame tabs tightly.

Pro-Tip: Use a microfiber cloth and a blast of compressed air right before sealing the frame. Even a tiny speck of dust or lint will be highly visible against the bold, solid-colored rainbow backgrounds.

This step brings the 3D element to life by securely placing the cars onto the framed artwork.

1. Clean the bottom chassis and wheels of your diecast cars to remove any oils or dust, ensuring a perfect adhesive bond.
2. Cut a small, strong piece of heavy-duty double-sided tape and apply it firmly to the underside of the car.
3. Carefully align the car vertically over the specific places of its matching background sheet.

1. Map out an even grid layout on your wall—a two-row grid of four frames each works incredibly well to keep the display compact and impactful.
