The MECHANICAL MENACE: a Simple Firearm Made From a Mechanical Pencil.
Teacher being cruel? Did your friend take their teasing a little too far? Are you craving sweet revenge but all you have is a mechanical pencil, a staple, and this Instructables page? Look no further than the MECHANICAL MENACE aka the Pencil Pusher aka Lead Posoning. This beaut’ll have your teacher begging for mercy when you point it right at their favorite apple and demand 100s on all of your tests.
This mechanical pencil gun is by far the easiest to assemble and disassemble, most accessible, and most powerful in its entire industry.
Supplies
All you need is literally just a
BIC mechanical pencil
and a
staple
+ a mischevious glint in your eye.
The Barrel
First, remove the eraser from the top of the pencil by pulling it off. This opens up your “barrel.”
The Shooting Mechanism
Pull the tip off on the part of the pencil that the lead comes out of. You may need to use your teeth, it’s on there pretty good. This reveals the shooting mechanism.
The Bullet
Take the staple and bend it so it’s completely straight. Then, take the eraser from earlier and push the straight staple into the middle of it. Finally, stick the eraser with the staple into it into the tip of the pencil. This is your bullet.
Loading and Shooting
Finally, put the bullet in the barrel with the tip in first (as shown in the video) make sure you are pointing the tip up a little bit, take your aim, and pull/release the little white nub at the bottom to shoot.
