But what if everything we believed about black wasn't completely true?
One day, while experimenting with paper chromatography, I drew a simple line using a black sketch pen on a piece of tissue paper. As I gently added water, something magical happened. The black ink slowly began to separate, revealing shades of blue, purple, pink, and other hidden pigments that had been there all along. Reveal the Hidden Rainbow
Now comes the most exciting part—the moment when science transforms your black butterfly wings into a beautiful rainbow.
As the water slowly travels through the tissue paper, it carries the ink with it. Since each pigment moves at a different speed, the hidden colors begin to separate, creating a unique pattern on every wing.

- Hold one butterfly wing vertically and gently dip only one edge of the tissue paper into the water.

- Carefully remove the wing and place it on a flat surface to dry completely.
- Repeat the same process for the second wing.

Your chromatography butterfly is almost complete! The final step is to add a few decorative details that make the artwork stand out.

- Take the golden circular stickers.
- Peel and stick them onto the lower wings, following the pattern shown in the reference image.
- Space the stickers evenly to create a balanced and elegant design.
- Press each sticker gently to ensure it sticks firmly.
✨ Optional: You can add a few extra stickers or small embellishments if you'd like to personalize your butterfly.
💡 Tip: Less is more! A few well-placed golden dots beautifully complement the colorful chromatography wings without taking attention away from them.
