The Window of the Life
Our story is based on a friend who had only a few days left to live, and every day he would look out the window and contemplate the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. That's how we discovered the beauty of life in the small actions and moments that allow us to enjoy it.
Supplies
Acetate sheet
1 sheet of paper
A chain or ribbon for a necklace
Markers
Pencil or pen
Glue
Ruler
Metal or some other sturdy material
Acetate Cut
On the acetate sheet, draw a rectangle 5 centimeters high and 3 centimeters wide.
Repeat this 3 times.
Make 3 of Them
You should have 3 pieces left.
And you're going to select one of them to draw the figure below.
Draw the Design
(I recommend that you draw on a sheet of paper before drawing on the acetate.)
On the sheet of paper, you will draw the rectangle with the measurements shown in the image.
The circle should be approximately 2 centimeters in diameter, and the sun rays should be approximately the following sizes:
1 centimeter (both)
1.8 centimeters (both)
4.4 centimeters (both)
4.3 centimeters
Preview
When you do it on the acetate, it should look something like this.
Paste One Side
Now you're going to take one of the two pieces we made a moment ago.
And now we're going to take some glue and put it on the corners of the piece without the drawings, so we can glue it on top of the piece with the sun (you have to glue it on the side you drew on, since we're going to color the back so as not to damage the sun's design).
Make an Acetate Sandwich
We need to color the piece on the side where we haven't glued the second rectangle.
Once it's colored, we take the last piece we have left and glue it to the colored side (like the previous piece, glue at the corners).
Make the Frame
this is the hardest thing
you can do it with another material but I'll show you how I did it.
Use a Vector Software
You need to trace the shape (it's the same size as the plastic) in a vector graphics program; afterwards, you can cut it on a CNC laser or CNC plasma cutter.
2
You need two of them
Assemble the Pieces
Now you put glue on the edges of the frame and stick them on, and do the same with the other one.
Finish!!!!!
You now have the finished piece.
Now you just need to add the chain or ribbon of your choice, and you'll have your finished necklace.
